Privacy
Too Many Tabs is a private place to think. Your notes belong to you, and nothing is shared with anyone unless you choose to share it yourself.
What we store
Your account email address, the notes you write, any voice transcripts and images you add, the names or nicknames you choose for tags, the AI notes generated from your entries, and the Care Cards you create.
If you buy Premium, we store the email address on the purchase, its status, and the payment provider's customer reference. Card details are never sent to or stored by Too Many Tabs.
Where it is held
The database and file storage are hosted in the EU (Paris, eu-west-3). Files are kept in a private bucket and are only ever opened through short-lived links created for you.
Who can see it
Only you. Every table has row-level access rules so your account can only ever read or write its own rows. There are no community, sharing or public-profile features.
AI processing
When you ask for sense-making, your note text is sent to an AI model to produce a summary, themes and suggestions. Voice notes are transcribed the same way. This happens on our server, never from your browser, and the output is a suggestion you can edit, keep or delete.
Email updates
If you tick the box when you create your account, we add your email address to our email marketing platform, Systeme.io, so we can send occasional tips and updates. We pass only your email address, your first name where we have it, and a label for how you found us (for example an advert or another of our sites). Nothing you write in Too Many Tabs is ever sent.
The box is never ticked for you, we record the date you agreed, and you can turn email updates off at any time in Settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any email. Deleting your account removes the contact record too.
Deleting and exporting
Deleting a tab moves it to Recently deleted, where you can restore it for 30 days or remove it immediately. Removing it for good also deletes any files attached to it.
In Settings you can download everything your account holds as a single file, and delete your account. Deleting your account removes your notes, files, tags, AI notes, Care Cards and your sign-in. It cannot be undone.
